Early this morning at Peeler Park Greenway Trailhead around 4 a.m. Thursday on Neelys Bend Road in Madison a suicidal woman Juli Glisson drover her vehicle into the Cumberland river.  Two police officers jumped in to rescue her and now one police officer is missing the other rushed to the hospital.

Their are a number of police rescue boats and personnel are now on the scene.

Metro Police officials said a diver recovered the body of 44-year-old Officer Eric Mumaw early Thursday morning after an intense search. He was an 18-year veteran of the department.

About an hour after the incident, the woman, identified as Juli Glisson, was found along the river bank and taken to an area hospital. She has been detained and is under criminal investigation.
